Approach 

Drew Becker has been interested in the miracle of the mind since youth and endeavored to explore his own and those of other people. He began studying astrology during college and continues to do so today.

Philosophy

Drew practices empowerment astrology with the intent of helping others maximize their gifts and talents and find ways to confront challenges and barriers in life. He is a member of the National Council for Geocosmic Research and president of the local chapter (Network of Triangle Astrologers). Drew has studied and applied astrology for more than two decades and teaches courses to help others realize potentials through the birth chart. His goal is to enable the individual to become more self-reliant and to reach for what is really important.

Drew believes what is most difficult for people is change. Each person is faced with the need to change many times in a lifetime. Astrology can help to discover the timing and general focus of what types of changes are needed. As the individual takes responsibility for these changes, his or her life deepens in meaning and the capacity for joy is increased. Drew wants his clients to experience this joy and live as full a life as possible.

First Reading In the first session, Drew spends an hour and a half with a client and tapes the session. The focus is the birth chart itself in which the client's gifts and challanges for the lifetime are uncovered.
Next the relationship between the current placement of the planets (transits) and those in the client's chart is examined to see what forces are working on the client's life at present and how the client can best deal with these issues.

Further Readings After the first session, the client can return for more in depth analyses of transits for the present and the future, a reading of the progressed chart (the birthchart through time) or to deal specifically with relationships, job opportunities, spiritual growth and timing for other events.

Sabian Symbols Reading One of the newest sessions Drew offers is working with the Sabian symbols for positions of the planets in the chart as well as with some midpoints (the point between two planets). This is a symbolic session where he and the client delve into these symbols to discover deeper patterns in the life.

Engaging Your Energies: An Introductory Study of Astrology
Topics covered include sun signs, the lunar cycle, the ascendant, the planets and their energies and the 12 houses. Includes an introduction to Venus and Mars, the relationship planets, and a synthesis/conclusion of class members' birthcharts to assist in drawing a more complete picture.
